For our Nourishment Workshop we have selected the unique venue Amethyst Cave, which is located in the popular south coast area Southbourne. Less than half a mile from the beach, Southbourne offers inspiration and calmness and the spacious studio which can accommodate up to 20 people, has beautiful heated wooden floors, simple, sweet decoration and soon as you enter, you will feel an instant sense of relaxation. 

The purpose of this workshop is to rejuvenate and rebalance the body and mind from our busy modern lifestyles. These busy patterns and modern life stress disconnect us from experiencing the best of ourselves, such as clear thinking, creativity and a balanced body and mind. We have assembled a series of reviving experiences for you to channel your energy towards rebalancing and rejuvenation. The space, which take you away from your daily commitments and immerses you into a conscious, mindful state, will allow you to recharge your batteries and feel your balanced self once more.

The workshop will comprise of Yin and Yang flow yoga, Pranayama (breathing exercise), Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep), aromatherapy and tea ceremony. Light healthy snacks made of wholesome ingredients will be provided.  It will be vegetarian or vegan friendly and freshly prepared using good quality produce. 

 

This Nourishment Workshop is designed to allow you to fully relax and simply take time to rejuvenate yourself and walk away feeling inspired. 

What can you expect

Yin Yang Yoga

45 mins of gentle Yang Yoga movements to release tensions, especially from poor posture from work. It will also help to increase and enhance your ability to focus and improve productivity in general. 45 mins of floor based Yin Yoga and pranayama (breathing exercise) will help to improve your physical and emotional flexibility, mental resilience, release stress and anxiety and strengthen the immune system. The whole practice is designed in a supportive environment to suit all levels and intended to make you feel grounded, centred and rejuvenated.  

Yoga Nidra / Singing Bowl Meditation

Yoga Nidra is also called yogic sleep which helps reduce stress and enhances cognitive performance and memory. The stages of body scan and breath awareness alone can be practiced to calm the nervous system, leading to lower anxiety and better general health. In combination with singing bowl meditation and essential oils, you will be taken to a deeper level of relaxation.  30 mins Yoga Nidra if done properly, it equals to 3 hours of sleep.

Pranayama (breathing exercise) & Meditation

In the medical community, there is a growing appreciation for the positive impact that deep breathing can have on the physiology, both in the mind and the body. Both Pranayama and meditation helps reduce anxiety and depression, lower/stabilise blood pressure, decrease feelings of stress and improve immunity.
