ABOUT MY PRACTICE
Yoga on the mat is a sacred enquiry where we shed out the protective skin and get to know who we really are and experiencing the luminous self. I offer Vinyasa Flow, and Yin Yoga classes which are dedicated to create a space where we can channel energy towards transformation. This is done through dedication, meditative awareness, and integrating body, breath, movement. Vinyasa is an unhurried exploration method which was taught in the traditions of yoga master Krishnamacharya, and passed on through the traditions of Iyengar and Ashtanga. With 10 years of practise and devotion to Ashtanga vinyasa flow, concepts of yogic philosophy, mindfulness meditation, Ancient Eastern medicine throughout Asia, I bring in the respect for the mystery of life and encourage you all to practice with an open mind.

Inward drawn attention & Physical Yoga Therapy
In this yoga class we aim to help our attendees build the mental and physical capacity for mediation. There will be 6-12 mins guided mindfulness meditation at the beginning and followed by Yin and Yang yoga movement, and relaxation at the end.

MINDFUL FLOW YOGA 8 WEEKS COURSE
Controlled Concentration
This yoga basic class is designed in a supportive environment for those who are looking to learn or return to the foundations of yoga postures (asanas), alignment, breathing, and technique. While we explore the body and mind, ancient eastern medicine theory is applied to understand the fundamental key element for wellbeing. No yoga experience is necessary. Join us every Tuesday for the perfect way to rejuvenate your body and mind.

FLOW YOGA COURSE
Strength & Flexibility
In this yoga class we attempt to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help participants regain control of their body and mind. Ancient eastern medicine theory is also applied in the session to help participants gain a fundamental understanding to wellbeing.

YIN YOGA
Rebalance & Revitalising
Yin yoga is relatively slow paced, mainly floor based and often stationary. There is a sense of softness, and staying in long-held poses increases our capacity for emotional flexibility and resiliency. In the physical facet, the postures are held for a long time to mainly target the connective tissues in a Yin yoga practise. The practice in general helps release tension and improve relaxation. While we explore the body and mind, we apply ancient eastern medicine theory to understand the fundamental key element for wellbeing. No yoga experience is necessary.
Every Monday 18.30-19.30 at Shiva Shakti (Southbourne)

Personalised Yoga Experience
Private yoga classes are available with Joy , which can be held at your home or in the studio.
The class is tailored to your individual needs and if requested an individual plan can be produced for you to follow in your own time.
Private group sessions are also available, such as hen parties or company staff sessions. Classes are available in the Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch area. Please message for the quote.
£40 for one to one private session, £5 surcharge per extra student (Price may vary slightly depending on travel distance)

PROJECTS & EVENTS

Bournemouth Parks foundation / Christchurch Town Council / Christchurch Bid
1st May 2022 - September 2022
This was a free yoga project based in Christchurch where we aimed to engage with the local community and inspire people to come along and try yoga out in a friendly, zero pressure environment. The first year was a great success and we are already looking at plans for this year. We hope to see you in Christchurch from May 2022!
