To create a therapeutic and nourishing yoga experience, we have chosen the charming Woodgreen Village Hall in the heart of the New Forest. Surrounded by serene countryside, this venue offers a beautiful, peaceful setting perfect for a day of relaxation and self-care. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the area, with plenty of trails for walking just outside.

The purpose of this retreat is to take time to nourish both body and mind, reconnecting with our essential nature of intrinsic happiness and fullness. This special setting will allow you to relax and immerse yourself in a conscious, mindful state, providing space to connect with a sense of inner well-being and peace.

The day will begin with a morning flow yoga session, followed by a hearty plant-based lunch lovingly catered by Green Label Kitchen, an independent Dorset-based catering business. You'll enjoy a delicious meal designed to replenish and nurture, and a treat with tea and coffee will follow for a moment of calm and comfort in the afternoon break.

In the afternoon, we will slow down with yin or restorative yoga to deepen the relaxation experience. Our retreat will also feature a dedicated workshop, allowing for further exploration and growth. For those who wish, an optional guided walk will provide the chance to connect with nature and enjoy the fresh countryside air.

Our retreats are designed to be relaxed and informal. You’re welcome to explore the surroundings between sessions or simply rest in the peaceful environment. This day retreat allows you to unwind fully—whether by taking quiet time for yourself or enjoying the space with like-minded people.

What You Can Expect

Yoga

All sessions are suitable for all levels. They are designed in a supportive environment for those who are looking to learn or return to the foundations of yoga postures, alignment, breathing, and technique. It will be a mixture of Vinyasa flow, Hatha, and Yin / Restorative. Daily practice will help you to feel grounded, centred and rejuvenated.

Pranayama & Meditation

In the medical community, there is a growing appreciation for the positive impact that deep breathing can have on the physiology, both in the mind and the body. Both Pranayama and meditation helps reduce anxiety and depression, lower/stabilise blood pressure, decrease feelings of stress and overwhelm, improve immunity.

Plant-Based Nourishing Food

We provide fresh, home-cooked plant based food catered by a Bournemouth based small independent catering business. Dishes incorporate modern twists to create fresh and exciting flavours. We can accommodate dietary requirements such as gluten-free etc. Please do let us know in advance.

Singling Bowl Meditation & Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra promotes deep rest and relaxation that isn’t found in your average meditation practice. The stages of body scan and breath awareness alone can be practiced to calm the nervous system, leading to less stress and better health. In combination with singing bowl meditation, it takes you to a deeper relaxation on a cellular level.

Holistic Workshop

As part of the retreat, a holistic workshop will guide us through the ancient technique of balancing and rejuvenation. In this session, we will explore practices designed to restore harmony within the body and mind, promoting a deep sense of renewal. Through gentle techniques and mindful exercises, this workshop invites you to connect with your inner balance, leaving you refreshed and grounded.

Connecting To The Self And Nature

There will be scheduled time for a walk to explore the neighbourhood. There are many reported benefits of spending time outdoor in nature which helps release stress, improve the immune system, promote sleep and relaxation and spiritually cleanse your aura.

Day Schedule

Welcome Circle

10.00

As we gather for our day retreat, we will begin with a welcome circle—a sacred space where participants can connect and set intentions for the day ahead. This circle will foster a sense of community, allowing everyone to share their hopes and aspirations in a supportive environment.

Vinyasa Flow

10.30-12.00

Our first Vinyasa Flow session will invite participants to connect breath with movement, creating a dynamic and energizing start to the retreat. In this class, we will flow through a series of asanas designed to cultivate strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Each movement will be synchronised with the breath, allowing participants to cultivate a meditative state while warming up the body.

Delicious Lunch

12.15 - 13.15

For our day retreat, we are delighted to offer a nourishing plant-based lunch prepared by Green Label Kitchen, a local business renowned for its commitment to fresh, wholesome ingredients. This carefully crafted meal will not only be delicious but also designed to nurture and sustain us throughout the day.

Wintery Walk

13.30 - 14.15

Wintery walk around Woodgreen Village, the crisp air invigorates your senses, and the landscape is blanketed in a delicate layer of frost. As you approach the banks of the River Avon, the tranquil waters reflect the muted winter sunlight, creating a picturesque scene.

Holistic Workshop

14.30 - 15.30

A  rejuvenating holistic workshop designed to nourish your mind and body will be offered during our day retreat. This immersive experience invites you to explore various healing practices.  This holistic workshop offers a supportive space for personal growth and healing. rejuvenation

Tea Break With a Sweet Treat

15.30 - 16.00

Take a moment to savor a delightful tea break featuring homemade treats from Green Label Kitchen.

Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra

As the day retreat draws to a close, we invite you to unwind with a nourishing Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra practice. This calming session will provide an opportunity to deeply relax and reconnect with your body and breath after a day of exploration and rejuvenation.
